We're two days in and I'm still not sure if it feels like the New Year to me. I've joked (been completely serious), that I'm going to try again for Chinese New Year in February. I think it's because I kinda restarted in August 2017. I've been working on quite a few things since then and it's a reminder that you can restart whenever you want...change course because it's time to change course.
Regardless of how mundane it all felt, I was really grateful to start the year working. We had a NYE eve party going at Studio No. 7 and I was working at a private Martell event. It was a great reminder of how far I've come in the past 6 months.
So what's next? Even though I'm not hung up on the new year thing, it is a start to a new month and I always try to look at my goals around now. The one thing I've noticed is how little I've written since October. I love writing, but it always seems to be the most difficult for me to commit to. I'm working on changing that. No longer will this blog sit here and collect dust. No longer will my newsletter go unsent. I think what's always stumped me is that I can't pick a topic and stay there. With that being said, I can't promise what this thing will be, but I'll write until I figure it out.
Happy New Month!
