A Travel Adventure in Every Glass

This weekend I spent a bit of time in New Zealand. I poured a glass of sauvignon blanc and allowed each sip to transport me to the natural landscapes of the South Island. I hiked through the Hooker Valley Track, I stared at the endless ocean, watched birds on Stewart Island and overall, did a winery tour by bicycle in Marlborough and of course ate some great meals.

This one glass (maybe two glasses) took me halfway across the world during a time when I can’t actually travel. I’ve always understood the power of spirits/wines as a way to explore different cultures. Now more than ever, I encourage you to mentally explore the world while you imbibe.
