Listen To That Little Voice Inside of You That's Saying Something Is Wrong

Yesterday, I went through the process of creating a new website. It included adapting each blog post to fit the new site. If you think that doesn’t sound like much fun, you’re correct. However, a lot of good came out of it. As I looked back over what I’d written over the past year, I realized how much I was struggling in finding (or accepting) my path.

Around April and May I’d started writing daily again and I was forcing myself to write wine-related posts and document my studying for the sommelier level 2 exam. As I read each post, I could feel that what I was really trying to do was figure out who I was supposed to be.

One of the posts that stuck out to be was one entitled “I Get Tired of Drinking”. It’s all about how I didn’t feel like drinking and preferred waking up early in the morning and exercising instead. As I read it, I realized that yes, something inside of me definitely knew the path I was on was wrong. As much as I loved studying wine and drinking the occasional glass, I knew this wasn’t exactly my career path.

The little voice has been whispering to me for years about this (as well as other things). I’m sure you have the same feeling. There’s probably something that’s calling you or something that you’re doing that doesn’t feel good. Listen to that little voice. It’s the most trustworthy guide that you have.

I’m so glad that I found what I was meant to do.
